Click on the video button to view an animation about the tragic night in 1831 when she sank with all aboard. The Frolic Steam Packet was quite the way to travel in 1831 and was heavily laden with important passengers when she set sail from Haverford West, bound for Bristol. In terrible conditions she was wrecked on the Nash Sands. Her tragic demise prompted Trinity House to build the two lighthouses at Nash Point the following year. Also, look for the Glamorgan Heritage Coast beer mats in local pubs and use the app to hold a roundhouse, lighthouse scene or castle in your hand.
